Airfield Mat Systems

Airfield Mats are designed to reduce vegetation growth around airfield lighting fixtures, signage and other elevated devices.
Mats are made of thick recycled rubber to allow mowing equipment to pass over without the need of hand-held trimmers.

The Airfield Mat can be used with either can-mounted or stake-mounted light fixtures. Base can mounted (Fig. I). The FM-1-8 mat has a 12-inch center hole that snugly fits the rim of the base can, allowing direct access into the base can. The FM-1-8wi-18 uses an optional removable 18” insert for additional protection. Stake mounted (Fig. II). The FM-1-8wi mat has a smaller 8-inch inner circle with a 12-inch collar insert that snugly wrap around the light post.
